Extinction Rebellion

Extinction Rebellion is an environmental organisation in the UK which demands government action on fighting the climate crisis. They were founded in 2018 and continue their work today.

The group came to prominence through the use of civil disobedience as a protest tool. Their actions include marches, road and bridge blockages, and public transport disruptions.

Extinction Rebellion sparks controversy within British society, with public opinion being split about whether they perceive their actions as beneficial or counterproductive.

In 2020, the protesters gathered at Parliament Square to make their demands heard. Once again, they blocked off the intersections and proceeded to voice their claims.
